We are witnessing the disruption of the fragile balance between us and our environment.
However, there is still reason for hope.
Today is the right time to build a sustainable tomorrow.
The year is 2022.
Days after a new war started in Europe, 270 scientists from 67 countries called for urgent action on the climate disaster. Their research states that in the next 20 years, the world will face unavoidable multiple climate hazards. Nobody talked about it.
The impact of exceeding the average global temperature by 1.5°C will result in even more severe impacts, some of which will be irreversible. Read more here.
Sounds bad?
That’s because it is.
And not just for future generations. It will directly affect all of us. We can talk about heatwaves, floods, extreme weather, increased mortality in plants and animals. But will this help? Not really.
Historically speaking, humanity’s greatest achievements happened when we joined efforts and worked together.
We have created ecolog to at least try and minimize the damage and reach out to as many people as possible. It is a joint effort, to convince decision makers to act as soon as possible. And it is also a personal journey.
All of us can do better, and we believe that now is the right time.
Why is it urgent to react?
In short? Because we are running out of time. This is no longer something that will happen in centuries.
“The scientific evidence is unequivocal: climate change is a threat to human wellbeing and the health of the planet. Any further delay in concerted global action will miss a brief and rapidly closing window to secure a livable future,” said Hans-Otto Pörtner – a German Climate Researcher.
Ecosystems are not only important for nature lovers, but also for the entire humanity. Functional ecosystems are more effective in capturing CO2 and enhancing the planet’s own defense systems.
Don’t believe us. Do your own research.
And by research we don’t mean shady blogs. Read the science. We will help you find it. 🙂
That’s the story of ecolog.
We saw the urgency; we knew the timing was right and we needed to be able to act. We will not be able to do it alone, so we ask for your help.
Again, why?
Today it’s simpler to just order some takeaway, get absorbed by social media, live for others and just fall in a zombie-like state. House, car, family, holidays, clothes – those are our goals. Is this really being alive? We hope not.
We’ve all been there. It’s easy to feel powerless. It’s simple to go with the flow (or the flock). Yet, we strongly believe that there is more to life than that.
Maybe we just needed ecolog to distract us.
So, what do you say about a distraction with positive outcomes?
